For a couple of months I have this idea to start sharing my favorite things for each month but I was lacking time. Time though is stretchable concept and until you start something and make the first steps it will always look harder than it is.
In general I am a person who don’t buy tons of object/things. So here you can expect to see only stuff that made me feel better and made my days a bit brighter.
Aromatherapy Set – Lidl
I still remember how I saw it last year in Zory’s Instagram. And thanks to her I quickly managed to find it in the shop before its disappearence. I’m really into all things that smell good but until now I’ve never used essential oils in this way. I wanted it mainly because of the wonderful package. But it has become one of my best purchases so far. The truth however is that I used it several times and then let it dust. Until the beginning of this autumn.
Orange – I remember how when I was a kid oranges were a rare find here… but on Christmas we were always buyng some and were putting their peels one the radiator so the whole room was smelling like magic.
Christmas Sweets – they lost me here and I don’t think I will use this one. It has a strong scent of spices and I do not associate it with any of the sweets that are made at home.
Vanilla – I adore vanilla and this one is smelling like the sweet things my grandma is making. If you don’t like vanilla though I don’t think you will like this one.
Apple and Cinnamon – Another Christmasy one. The scent is strong and thats why I don’t use it too often.
Winter Freshness – because this scent I’m on the verge of buying another set right away. It smells so strongly of bubblegum and Christmas in one it feels like I’m kid again and the gifts are waiting me under the Christmas tree.
Christmas tree – it makes you feel like you are in a huge pine forest. The scent is a bit strong but it’s perfect for the Christmas holidays.
In the ceramic “vase” (as I call it) you pour a little water, drop from 5 to 30 drops of essential oil (as a person who was using for the first time something like that I was staring at it like an neanderthal) depending on the size of the room and how strongly you want the smell to be. Then you light on a tea candle and put it inside. On the packaging itself there are pictures – extremely useful. Wood beads turned out to be for cupboards, wardrobes, ect. – you put a couple of drops on them and put it inside the furniture.
The price this year (10 leva) is worth the last penny. An incredible set, extremely compact and even if you use it with different oils is a great addition to a nice day.
Hookas from Nara
Maybe most of you who follow me on Instagram know how into hookah I was especially after our trip to Dubai. So imagine my happiness when Nara sent me one of their sets of hookas of testing – The Fruit Collection.
This was the first time I heard about hookah sticks and it was really interesting to me if they have something in common with the original hookahs.
Right after I opened the package there was this strong scent of fruits coming out. It reminded me of the fruity bubblegums from my childhood and I was totally hooked. The fruit hookas are one of my favorites. In this particular set you have:
Cherry-Apple mix – really liked it! These are some of my favorite fruits and the combination is just great! Even my mother (who is quite a conservative person) liked it a lot.
Blueberry – another great one. Slightly more intense flavor than the top, but if you like such fruits it’s great!
Tangerine – I am not a fan of tangerins and it was really strange for me as a taste
Grape-Mint mix – the strongest from the 5 for me, my boyfriend really liked it, I.. not so much, it leaves you with the feeling of mint candy.
Melon – this is amazing as well(told ya.. I love fruits), I think it’s perfect for the summer days.
The scents are really saturated and after them the whole room starts to smell like fruits, in your mouth they leave you with this sweet memory of something fresh.
For the people who like something more special Nara have more sets(with 5 disposable hookas) that include mint note, more exotic fruits and mixes of them.
The disposable hookas are with capacity of 500 puffs, but the biggest plus for me is that they offer them separately – you can get only one stick, not necessary the whole set of 5.
Another cool thing is that they offer rechargable ones as well. They are really nice for the people who adore hookas. The one thing that got me curious is that the case is also an internal battery with an option for charging a smartphone.
But why I decided to share with you this product( except that I really liked it, how stylish it looks, how easy to use it is and how way more comfortable than regular hookah is) – there is no nicotine, tar or tobacco in all of them. For the first one we are aware that in the regular hookah you can find nicotine for 1-2 cigarettes. It’s not much but it is way more than nothing.
And the problem with smoking is obvious and without any control right now. From my observations of smokers (an example I can give – with my father, who smoked for 40 years before stopping) one of their main problems is the habit … the habit of the act, feeling the smoke in their lungs, enjoying the moment .. even physical addiction is not as strong as the idea that something like that will calm you down or give you the opportunity for socialization. And what better than replacing it with something harmless, which will give you the same effect?
So in this case if I can make even one smoker stop and think about not poisoning him/herself anymore it will be worth it.
I had the chance to try another hookah stick from a different company – nothing in common. The quality is levels below. So keep that in mind as well.

Maybelline foundation and Contour Stick
As a person who doesn’t give money for almost anything material, I’ve recently rediscovered makeup like never before. The mandatory 2 for this month were Maybelline Fit Me’s matting foundation for normal to oily skin and their face contour stick.
For months, I was looking for some kind of foundation with no full coverage, even BB creams would do the job. All of them were orange. And with skin like my dead man one, it was a challenge to find the right color. I decided to try the Maybelline, after all for that price I’m not losing anything. And I was fascinated. My skin is a mixed type, the problem is my T-zone, with it I have no problem even if I don’t use a powder. Magic is happening. And the color I chose (not even the lightest) fits me perfectly.
I started enjoying contouring the last couple of weeks of September.. didn’t know if there was a point to buy a whole palette because I’m still not totally into it. Went to a couple of Sephoras, DM, Lilly.. and finally decided to buy this stick. With it this is my favorite part of makeup now. It is so easy to use and the color is perfect. The dark part is not orange at all, which is really important for painting shadows on your face – they have to be grayish. It is easy to blend as well and my make up is ready for no more than 10min.
As you can see from the photo I took color “Light” and below I will show you how exactly it looks.
One minus I see is that the quantity is not a lot(you can see that on the photo above – this is the whole size and it was used for 1-2weeks every other day)
Also if you have some dry places on your skin or bigger pores(like the ones on my nose) both of them will be a bit patchy and will fill in the pores weirdly, which maybe with a nice primer will be avoided.
1st photo left – without fondation/ right – with.
On the 2nd photo click here for it you can see the color of the contour before blending.
the 3rd photo (this one) is before blending the light color and after that
The last one on the right is the whole finished makeup.
For their price in general I really like them. Especially when I found my color finally.
These are my 3(actually 4) favorite things from September, every one of them made my day a bit better. I hope you saw something interesting for yourself here and a desire to try something new!
